Information Officer II
The California Horse Racing Board is looking for an Information Officer II to join our team. Do you want to work with a great dynamic team in a fast-paced department? If so, this may be the position for you! The position will serve as the public information officer (PIO) for the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications services, representing CHRB to the media, commissioners, employees, stakeholders, and to the public, statewide, nationally, and internationally. The PIO will manage communications so that its audiences receive consistent, accurate, transparent, and timely information. The PIO serves as the starting point and clearinghouse for CHRB communications for external audiences and employees and supports internal and external industry and regulatory events. Under the general direction of the Deputy Executive Director, serves as the chief communications liaison, collaborating with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders to produce multimedia content. Provides support in all phases of multimedia content creation, executive communications, and presentation as needed.
