For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see Notice to Out of State Applicants.** **JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**The Borland Lab within the Department of Biobehavioral Health is seeking a part-time research assistant, starting August 24th, to work 4-12 hours per week.Job Duties:Assist with the housing and handing of adult Syrian hamsters, behavior testing, brain tissue collection, slicing brain tissue on the cryostat, RNAscope and immunohistochemistry experiments.Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:Must be an undergraduate student at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.Compensation:The starting rate for this job is $15 per hour. **BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES**Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. **CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS**Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
