The Residential New Construction Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily schedules for field plumbers, ensuring jobs are staffed efficiently, materials are available, and builders receive timely service. This position serves as the communication hub between field personnel, builders, project managers, suppliers, and office staff to keep construction projects on schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch plumbers to daily job assignments based on project priorities and manpower availability.
• Coordinate with builders, superintendents, and project managers regarding job readiness and scheduling changes.
• Monitor technician productivity and make scheduling adjustments throughout the day.
• Track job progress and ensure work is completed according to construction schedules.
• Maintain daily communication with field employees regarding assignments, delays, inspections, and material needs.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure required permits and documentation are complete.
• Verify that necessary materials and equipment are available before crews arrive on site.
• Update scheduling software and maintain accurate records of job status.
• Respond promptly to schedule changes, emergencies, and builder requests.
• Assist with manpower planning to maximize labor efficiency.
• Monitor attendance and communicate staffing shortages to management.
• Prepare daily and weekly scheduling reports.
• Maintain professional relationships with builders, vendors, inspectors, and company personnel.
• Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of dispatching, scheduling, construction coordination, or related experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adjust schedules quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Experience in residential new construction plumbing.
• Knowledge of residential construction scheduling and phases.
• Experience using dispatching or construction management software (BuildPro, Buildertrend, ECI Bolt, etc.).
• Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes.

Work Hours

Typically, Monday–Friday, with occasional early mornings, overtime, or weekend work as needed to support construction schedules.  Utilizing staggard schedule with dispatch team.
