We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable accounting professional to support our Carey, Ohio office . This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of accounting, collaborate with the Accounting Department, and contribute to process improvements that make a real impact. What You'll Do Support key accounting functions including payroll, job costing, and accounts payable Assist with month-end and year-end closing to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Handle withholding tax remittances and other tax-related responsibilities Support internal audit activities and help maintain strong internal controls Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with the Accounting Department and provide support wherever needed Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by Controller What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out This is more than a traditional accounting role. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field or 2+ years of relevant accounting/business experience Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work independently Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Summary Vaughn Industries is a family owned construction company headquartered in Carey, Ohio that has been in business for over 60 years.
