Get in on the ground floor and train for an entry level career in the healthcare/education field!In this position, you will:Help people supported achieve/exceed their personal goalsProvide structure and emotional supportAssist in resolving behavioral issuesHelp people supported with personal hygiene needsComplete detailed, accurate documentationTransport program participants to and from medical appointments and recreation activities using Agency vehiclesWe require:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Clean, valid New York State driver's license.Ability to communicate and understand in English; both verbally and in writing.Some experience working with the intellectually and developmentally disabled population preferred; but will train. Cooking and light housekeeping may be required.Must obtain and maintain AMAP and SCIP certificationsThe ability to perform SCIP maneuvers which may require bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, lying on the ground, and supporting another person's body weight.The ability to reach, bend, twist, kneel, and squat as you assist people with physical activities.The ability to assist with lifting and transferring a person.
