We are a well-established business and employment law firm based in Los Angeles with a nearly three-decade track record representing California employers across a wide range of industries. Our employment team handles the full spectrum of management-side work and we are looking to add an attorney who wants to build a real advice and counsel practice.

What the role looks like

This is a counseling-first position. The day to day work centers on advising California employers on HR best practices, drafting employment agreements, handbooks, and policies, guiding clients through leaves of absence, separations, investigations, and disciplinary matters, and serving as a trusted advisor on the full range of California employment law issues. If you also have litigation experience or want to develop it, there is room for that here, but it is not a requirement.

What we are looking for

• 3 to 7 years of management-side employment law experience with a California focus
• A strong advice and counsel background including handbook drafting, HR policy work, and day to day employer guidance
• Familiarity with California's employment law landscape, wage and hour, leave laws, FEHA, and the general complexity of advising California employers
• Litigation experience is a plus, not a requirement
• California bar active
• Someone who genuinely enjoys the counseling side of employment law and wants to go deep in it
