Job TitleAn hour at 30 hours a week with the possibility to go to 40 hours a week after October. Temp role for a year. Please note the 30 hours will range in the schedule below:Covid Testing ScheduleMONDAYS: CDC- (Location Mertex Cave System Lenexa) 2:30 pm – 5:30 pmTUESDAYS: BLDG 5- (17000 W116th Street Lenexa) 3:00 pm – 6:00 pmFARM- (FARM ADDRESS Address to Farm 13590 NW 2300 rd Garnett Ks 66032) 9:00 am – 12:00 amWEDNESDAYS: BLDG 1- (10246 Sant Fe Trail Drive, Lenexa Kansas) 9:00 am – 11:00 am BLDG 1- 3:00 pm – 6:00 pmTHURSDAYS: BLDGS 2&3- (10246 Sant Fe Trail Drive, Lenexa Kansas) 2:30 pm – 5:00 pmSUNDAYS: BLDG 1- Weekend shift (Every other Sunday as needed beginning 08/08) 2:00 pm – 3:00 pmBUILDINGS 1, 2 AND 3 ARE THE MAIN CAMPUS AND LOCATED WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. BUILDING 5 AND CDC ARE 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM EACH OTHER AND THE MAIN CAMPUS. THE FARM IS AN (1) HOURS AND 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM LENEXA. ADDRESSES HAVE BEEN ENTERED ABOVE.How Will You Make An Impact?This individual will support high complexity testing under the direct supervision of a Technical Supervisor.What Will You Do?• Retrieve laboratory samples according to the procedure.• Dispatch specimens to the designated testing area.• Ensure all tests are accounted for in the proper ordering system.• Maintain awareness of turnaround expectations & organize work duties to ensure expectations are met.• Enter data into the LIMS system• Report any problems to the Technical Supervisor.How Will You Get Here?Education: GED or High School DiplomaExperience: Experience using computer software for work activities.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:• Ability to manage confidential information• Knowledge of LIMS• Computer Knowledge• Ability to follow procedures• Good communication skills and the ability to follow directionsAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 75,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
