Job Description
Title
Registered Nurse - Orthopedic

Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend

Assignment Details
- 13-week contract
- Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Orthopedic experience required
- BLS (BCLS) certification
- NIHSS certification
- IV start experience
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Preferred: ACLS certification, charge nurse experience, Level I trauma experience

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients in an orthopedic and neuro-spine post-operative setting.
- Manage high post-operative pain needs with appropriate analgesics and PCA.
- Monitor telemetry for patients and respond to changes in clinical status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.

Compliance / Notes
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required; flu vaccination is required with medical/religious exemptions only.
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
- RTO policies: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); no RTO during the first week; holiday RTO not approved.
