Position Title Adult CT Technologist - (3x12 Shifts), Department: Adult CT Scan Job Description New to OU Health? We even offer up to $25,000 in student loan repayment for our Imaging professionals. These positions are available in levels 1‑3 based on experience, education, and/or certification and licensure. Essential Responsibilities Perform routine computed tomography (CT) examinations in accordance with established protocols, policies, and safety standards, with guidance as needed. Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician‑ordered exams to support appropriate imaging. Safely administer contrast per protocol. Demonstrate the ability to recognize basic imaging artifacts and implement corrective measures independently or under guidance. Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to support desired clinical outcomes and service standards. Accurately transfer images and associated data to designated systems, complete basic technical documentation, and prepare studies for physician reporting. Carry out operator‑level quality control checks, cleaning, high‑level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory requirements. Accurately document in EMR/PACS. Actively participate in continuing education, professional development, and research initiatives to maintain competencies and advance quality of care and treatment practices. Support inventory tasks as needed to help ensure supplies are available. General Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Level 1 Education: Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology, or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program. Experience: 0‑3 years of experience. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire; ARRT(RT) certification required within 12 months of hire. Level 2 Education: Associate’s Degree required. Experience: 3‑5 years of CT experience. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): Current BLS required upon hire; ARRT(RT)(CT) certification required upon hire. Level 3 Education: Associate’s Degree required. Experience: 5 or more years of CT experience. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): Current BLS required upon hire; ARRT(RT)(CT) certification required upon hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, basic radiologic technology concepts, and CT‑related terminology. Applies core CT theory, practices, and techniques to perform examinations and complete basic post‑processing, analysis, and documentation with general supervision or assistance. Communication skills to exchange basic information with patients, families, and team members. Ability to prioritize and complete assigned clinical and non‑clinical work tasks with guidance and direction, progressively developing independence in managing routine responsibilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain composed in stressful situations with guidance and support, progressively developing effective coping and prioritization skills. Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy. Knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards. Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others. Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled. Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs. Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
