This role prepares a variety of baked goods by following established recipes and production specifications, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation in a high-volume bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare baked goods by strictly following established recipes and production specifications.
• Measure, mix, and combine ingredients accurately to achieve consistent product quality.
• Operate and monitor bakery equipment and ovens safely and efficiently.
• Perform kitchen prep work, including organizing ingredients, tools, and workstations before production.
• Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety standards throughout all baking activities.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of baking experience, or completion of a culinary or bakery program with less than 1 year of experience.
• Hands-on experience in bakery operations, including mixing, baking, and finishing products.
• Ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately and consistently.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
• Experience with kitchen prep work and basic cooking tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Formal education in culinary arts or a bakery program.
• Experience working in a commercial bakery or similar food production setting.
• Familiarity with bakery equipment and tools used in high-volume production.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks during a shift.

Work Environment

This position is based in a bakery environment with hands-on production work. You will work primarily on 2nd shift from 1:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with full-time hours and regular weekend shifts required. The role involves standing for extended periods, working around hot ovens and bakery equipment, and performing kitchen prep and mixing tasks in a fast-paced setting. The bakery follows good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety standards, and employees are expected to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in line with these guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Omaha,NE.
