Agency:Hearts & ScienceJob Function:MediaJob Subfunction: Media Planning and BuyingJob Description:Manager, Experience PlanningAs a Manager, Experience Planning, you will play a key role as the day-to-day liaison between the client, vendor partners, and the media community ensuring that the client’s media plans are developed and implemented per brand objectives and guidelines. You will also collaborate with other disciplines (Integrated Planners, Data Science, etc.) and partner creative agencies to ensure plans are integrated and fulfilling campaign goals.Qualifications3+ years of experience in cross-channel branding strategy or media/communicationsProven, strong team management, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skillsKnowledge of principles of advertising, marketing and media; a basic knowledge of disciplines underlying these principles (i.e., psychology, economics, journalism)A solid understanding of media types, including Broadcast, Print, Outdoor and DigitalKnowledge of the dynamics of media - how each media element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changingUnderstanding of the skills and functions of the Investment side of the business, as well as knowledge of Strategic Business Units’ competenciesInterest in the client’s industry and environment within which they operateKnowledge of syndicated research, ad serving, media billing tools a plusAbility to understand media data sources in terms of what is measured, the method, and information reportedAppreciation of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirementsStrong presentation skillsResponsibilitiesSupervising and training Associates and Senior Associates on day-to-day activities and all aspects of the planning process, as well as client business and industryManaging the flow of client media-related issues, creating solutions and resolving issuesEstablishing timetables for development of plansIntegrating strategic planning philosophy into communication plan developmentHelping develop planning objectives and strategies that coincide with the client’s marketing directionContinually seeking a consumer-centric view in all strategic thinking promoting creative, innovative approaches to strategically reach the target consumerSupervising implementation of integrated offerings and toolsIdentifying opportunities for cross-platform deals when appropriateProviding point-of-view on various media in the marketplaceCreating media plan recommendations and alternativesSelecting media vehicles and determine schedulingAnalyzing competitive activity in the marketplaceOverseeing the execution of and present media plans to clientsGauging media performance to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies are metMaintaining budget control and ensure execution of media plans by authorizing approved media schedules and monitoring buys/schedulesCoordinating efforts with the Investment team(s) and creative agenciesStudying demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiencesHandling any client requests, e.g., plan or budget changes, providing marketplace informationMeeting with media sales reps and industry representatives on a regular basis to pursue ideas that are strategically aligned with the client’s business $50,000 - $95,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
