Highly regarded social services nonprofit New York City - Hybrid Salary Range: $150,000 to $170,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience

Terrific Vice President of Development (VP) with a highly regarded social services nonprofit looking to grow their Development team. Currently, the majority of their $100 million in annual funding is derived from government contracts. This new position will be integral in accelerating their private funding, primarily through institutional giving, with the potential for individual gifts and other sources over time. The role will operate on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and implementation of strategy for private donors
• Provide moves management to a pipeline of corporate and foundation donors (Full lifecycle - Prospect research through stewardship)
• Implement effective strategies to engage institutional funders
• Operationalize strategy and structure of the department
• Oversee staff in the creation of donor proposals and reports
• Collaborate with the MarComm team to create content that supports fundraising and cause marketing
• Ensure the donor CRM is maintained to support efficiency
• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of four

Qualifications:

• Approximately 7-10+ years of relevant fundraising experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Demonstrated track record of successfully obtaining gifts from corporate and foundation donors
• Experience establishing and growing a fundraising program
• Understanding of the New York fundraising landscape
• Ability to collaborate across the organization to achieve goals
• Entrepreneurial spirit with excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Strong personal and/or professional connection to the organization's mission
