Role and Responsibilities

• Mix, pump, and spray Pyrocrete 341 cementitious fireproofing material according to manufacturer and project specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain industrial spray equipment, pumps, and mixers.
• Measure wet and dry film thickness to ensure application meets specific fire-rating thickness requirements.
• Maintain a detailed inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring timely orders for project completion.
• Perform thorough quality control inspections during and after application to ensure adherence to safety regulations and project specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
• Review and comply with project specifications, blueprints, and guidelines to ensure proper application.
• Record work hours, materials used, and project details accurately.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in industrial cementitious fireproofing application.
• Competency operating and troubleshooting fireproofing pumps and spray nozzles.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving quality results.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and in confined spaces

Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed on construction job sites, exposed to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces or elevated areas depending on the project.
• Physical labor may be required, including the ability to lift and move equipment or materials.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times for safety.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or on weekends as project schedules require.
• The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.

The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
