About the Position

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a Respiratory Care Provider license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) Must-Have: Must have recent critical care experience. RRT only, no CRT. Description: Position/Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist. Shift: 3x12, Nights, with holiday rotation. On-call is not required. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs. Must be able to float to all areas of the hospital. Required experience includes 2 years. First-timers are accepted for night positions only. All certifications must be in hand at the time of start. No radiation badge is required. RTO restrictions must be included at the time of submission. Local candidates will not be accepted. All time off must be included at the time of submission. Facility may call off one shift per two weeks. Staffed beds total 396. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue. Charting system used is Epic. Attention to hurricane season is required. All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Travelers should not confirm new assignments during this season. Candidate must have experience in critical care and the ability to assist with high-risk deliveries and pediatric care. Skills include troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, extubation, and weaning from mechanical ventilation. Experience with various respiratory treatments and procedures is essential.
