Join a team that builds large custom diesel and natural gas engines used to power hospitals, data centers, and industrial equipment. This is a hands-on mechanical role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, blueprint reading, and experience using a variety of hand and power tools. If you have experience in automotive, diesel, maintenance, construction, farming, or manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.

• Assemble diesel and natural gas engines following blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Use hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and DC tooling to complete assemblies.
• Safely move and position components using cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs during assembly.
• Verify measurements, torque specifications, and quality standards.
• Utilize computer systems to review work instructions and document completed work.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

• Previous hands-on mechanical experience in manufacturing, automotive, diesel, maintenance, construction, farming, or similar fields.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and pneumatic tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work safely around large equipment and components.
• Willingness to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays.
• Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes required.
• High school diploma not required.

• Automotive or diesel technician experience.
• Mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Hydraulic, electrical, or wiring experience.
• Experience working from blueprints and schematics.
• Production or assembly line experience.

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility assembling large engines in a team-oriented environment. The role requires the use of cranes, hoists, torque tools, pneumatic tools, and computer-based work instructions.

Available Shifts:

• 2nd: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM, $22.09

We're looking for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy building, troubleshooting, and working with tools. Candidates with automotive, diesel, maintenance, construction, farming, military, or manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, IN.

The pay range for this position is $21.34 - $22.09/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
