Experienced Craftsman / Lead Carpenter-Knapp Builders

We are currently seeking an Experienced Craftsman / Lead Carpenter to join our team .

This position is ideal for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and is capable of leading a small crew while working alongside them in the field.

Responsibilities

* Lead and work alongside a small crew on custom residential and commercial construction projects

* Perform high-quality finish and carpentry work

* Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications

* Frame walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components

* Complete remodeling, additions, renovations, and new construction

* Install doors, trim, cabinetry, flooring, and other finish materials

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite

* Coordinate daily tasks and help keep projects moving efficiently

* Communicate professionally with project managers, subcontractors, and customers

* Train and mentor less-experienced carpenters

* Take ownership of the quality and completion of assigned work

Qualifications:

* Several years of professional carpentry experience

* Strong knowledge of residential construction

* *Framing experience is a major plus*

* Ability to independently complete carpentry tasks from start to finish

* Ability to read construction plans and understand project details

* Experience working on custom homes and/or remodeling projects a must

* Ability to lead a small crew and direct daily work

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

* Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated

* Professional attitude and good communication skills

* Valid driver's license

* Must take pride in craftsmanship and care about doing the job right
