Enrollment Specialist Job no: 495746 Closes: Work Type: Staff Full-Time Locations: Schriever, LA Categories: Admissions College: Fletcher Technical Community College Department: Enrollment Sub department: Admissions & Financial Aid Type of Appointment: Unclassified - Administrative/Staff Salary: $51,504 What You'll Do: Serve as the primary point of contact for a caseload of applicants and students, proactively moving them through the enrollment funnel and securing funding. Assist with admissions applications, FAFSA completion, and next-step planning; provide clear guidance on programs, courses, and registration. Deliver presentations on enrollment, financial aid, and advising to students, parents, high schools, community organizations, and internal teams. Support program and course enrollment goals through targeted outreach and timely follow-up. Represent the college at recruitment events (college fairs, career days, FAFSA events, orientations, open houses), providing on-site advising and financial aid counseling. Respond to all emails and voicemails within 24 hours with accurate, friendly, and solution-oriented service. Collaborate with the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment and Student Experience, Executive/Assistant Directors of Enrollment, and the Registrar to optimize admissions, financial aid, and registration operations. Manage special projects and other duties as assigned; participate in college events, meetings, professional development, and committee service. Uphold a respectful, inclusive environment for students, families, colleagues, and community partners. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years of customer service experience. Excellent communication and counseling skills with a student-first mindset. Strong organizational abilities; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based systems, and student information/CRM tools. Positive attitude, patience, high energy, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others. Flexibility for limited travel and occasional evenings/weekends for events. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of Banner.
