Warehouse Worker (Material Handler)The primary function of this position is responsible to ship, receive, and deliver supplies, materials and equipment, and maintain inventory control and records; perform related work.Primary Functional Responsibilities:Shipping and loading trucks: checks identification, reports shortages or damage, moves, stores, stacks, and arrangesOperate a power lift truck, hand truck, dolly, or other deviceReceives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacksInventory transfer: unloads, moves, and stores a variety of materials, parts, or products using standardized proceduresMust be able to identify, record, and keep like parts togetherFamiliarity with inventory and scales materialsMaintaining inventory records, inventory adjustments, ship confirmations, receiving tally and scrap entryPerform Cycle counts and other related dutiesWear the proper PPE and follow safety guidelines and proceduresWorks effectively with others, following company Core Values and Standard of ConductFills-in for other positions when neededPerform other related duties as directedRequired Skills:BilingualAbility to work around hot heavy machineryMust have good written and oral communication skillsMust have 2+ years of shipping experience in a manufacturing/warehouse settingForklift certifiedForklift, standup, sit-down experienceKnowledge of Fed Ex or UPS systemsAbility to use inventory scannersFollow oral and written instructions and printsMultitask and self-motivatedPhysical Requirements:Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and crouch.Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds.Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.Ability to work in an open warehouse environment, subject to seasonal weather (high Heat index in the summer and cold in winter).Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Other Compensation & Benefits:Mueller offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
