Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS from AHA only; NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: 1 year Tele, Stepdown, or ED experience Description: This position involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The role requires monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments. Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information is essential. The position demands a commitment to professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluation of the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers is required. The role also involves coordinating patient care in conjunction with other departments. Candidates must demonstrate clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Strong communication and human relations skills are required. The working conditions may require standing and walking for most of the time on duty. Physical demands include lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Candidates should be prepared for the physical aspects of the role, including pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs. Kneeling, crouching, and crawling are minimally required in this role.
