This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description
HII - Mission Technologies has a need for a Program Manager to lead a C-UAS program focused on delivering effective, adaptable solutions that meet federal mission needs across diverse operational environments.
In this role, the PM drives strong coordination with federal agencies and components and industry partners, ensuring smooth integration, shared objectives, and collaborative ecosystem development. The PM oversees efforts to enhance system readiness, support rapid evaluation cycles, and tailor solutions for a wide range of federal government missions. The PM will guide multidisciplinary teams, steward resources, manage risk, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders to ensure thoughtful planning, disciplined execution, and timely delivery.
Through strategic leadership, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to working well across government and industry, the PM enables the development, assessment, and transition of capabilities that strengthen security, support operators, and meet evolving homeland protection needs.
This role is open to candidates residing in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Essential Job Responsibilities
Build strong, consistent engagement with federal government agencies and stakeholders to ensure alignment, partnership, and shared mission outcomes.
Leverage modern evaluation methods and analytical tools to improve program understanding, reduce uncertainty, and support informed decision-making.
Lead and empower multidisciplinary teams and experts to deliver high-quality results across all core mission areas.
Guide the advancement of emerging solutions and technologies to ensure they can be transitioned efficiently into operational use.
Shape offerings that meet the varied needs of federal mission environments, from border and maritime operations to airport security and critical infrastructure protection.
Ensure testing and evaluation activities are well-planned, efficient, and aligned with agency priorities for timely insights and program responsiveness.
Promote a flexible and collaborative integration approach that supports open system architectures and long-term adaptability.
Strengthen enterprise interoperability by ensuring systems, partners, and vendors work together effectively within a unified ecosystem.
Provide strategic leadership over program execution, resource planning, and delivery of high-impact outcomes.
Set clear strategies, schedules, and management plans that support efficient operations and proactive risk management.
Oversee cross-site technical teams engaged in research, prototyping, integration, and evaluation activities.
Maintain strong relationships with federal customers and mission partners through clear communication and effective coordination.
Lead program reviews and stakeholder engagements to maintain alignment, transparency, and forward progress.
Support the timely transition of new capabilities into customer environments to address evolving mission needs.
Oversee engineering, integration, and evaluation work to ensure disciplined execution and alignment with program goals.
Ensure compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and security requirements across program activities.
Monitor performance, assess progress, and address program risks to maintain operational momentum.
Mentor and develop staff across multiple locations to support strong team performance and professional growth.
Direct program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management, to ensure responsible and effective resource use.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
10-15+ years leading complex federal R&D, prototyping, or technical programs, with demonstrated experience delivering mission-focused outcomes.
Hands-on experience with CUAS test and evaluation activities, including planning, executing, and assessing field tests across varied operational environments.
Strong background in research, development, and maturation of emerging technologies, including transitioning lower- and mid-TRL capabilities toward operational readiness.
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams working across sensing, mitigation, command-and-control, and system integration disciplines.
Experience supporting related advanced technology programs.
Experienced in coordinating efforts among diverse vendors and stakeholders to ensure consistent integration, shared priorities, and program cohesion.
Effective communicator with a track record of briefing senior government stakeholders and coordinating across DHS, DoW, DOE, DOJ, or other federal organizations.
Ability to collaborate across government, industry, and vendor partners to support integrated, vendor-agnostic solutions.
Active Secret clearance.
PMP or equivalent program management certification.
Preferred Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Demonstrated experience guiding research and development activities that translate emerging concepts into practical, mission-ready solutions.
Strong track record collaborating with government and industry partners to advance technologies through development, integration, and assessment phases.
