Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a School Social Worker for the 2026-27 school year. This contract role provides an opportunity to support children and adolescents in academic settings, collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff. Both full-time and part-time availability will be considered, with caseload assignments tailored to the unique context and needs of each school or program.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Active and valid Social Work license for the state of Maryland
• Prior experience providing therapeutic and counseling services within school settings preferred
• Strong communication, advocacy, and crisis intervention abilities
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following ethical practice guidelines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and school communities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social, emotional, and behavioral support to students
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and monitor student progress
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and support special education initiatives
• Connect students and families with community resources and support systems
• Promote positive school climate and foster safe, inclusive learning environments
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all documentation requirements
