Hospitality HR Generalist — On‑Site in Indianapolis

HR GENERALIST - INDIANPOLIS, IN

Salary $70,000 - $75,000 / yr Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and engaged Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This is a tremendous opportunity for a hospitality‑mindful HR professional with strong employee relations and client partnership skills. As the HR Generalist supporting this busy dining operation, your primary focus will be to manage all Human Resources functions, ensuring we meet the needs of the business and of our associates. You will lead the following functional areas: associate relations, HR training, legal compliance, policy development, engagement survey action planning, performance and merit increase monitoring, hourly recruitment and bonus administration. Please note – this is a fully on‑site role. Key Responsibilities Ensure all Company HR policies are applied consistently. Coaching associates and management through complex issues; provide guidance on disciplinary action; assist with on‑site investigations. Oversee MyOpportunity for hourly recruitment and onboarding. Maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws. Run and review HR activity reports. Support internal customer survey and associate engagement survey interpretation and feedback processes. Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility; conduct classroom training, provide assistance, and implement HR initiatives. Review requests for pay increases or other status changes to ensure internal equity; process status change forms. Prepare, coordinate, and present HR‑related topics and training. Act as the diversity champion; lead assigned diversity recruiting, retention and promotion activities. Assist in creating Personal Development Plans for associates. Participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required. PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred. Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. Three or more years of human resources generalist experience required; management experience a plus. Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred. Experience in a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting. Experience responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or other stakeholders. Strong presentation skills required.
