Details Float pool position covering approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units with no assigned home unit May float to other Metro campus facilities as needed Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, 18:45-7:15 Patient ratio of 1:5 Weekend requirement of 8 shifts within Saint Luke's 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit No on-call requirements Work settings include MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown Utilizes 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell Requirements Active Kansas and Missouri RN license or compact license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred 1 to 2 years of recent PCU/telemetry experience required, with a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months and no employment gaps greater than 90 days Required skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and on-unit telemetry monitoring Experience with pre/post cardiac cath care required Preferred skills include sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, and central line care/management Two professional references required, one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN, both from within the past year Social Security number required at time of consideration Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care across multiple PCU and Med/Surg Intermediate units Manage patients with conditions including sepsis, wound care, ETOH, suicidal ideation, renal failure, AFIB, GI bleed, stroke, and COVID Virtual nursing support available on the unit RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, finalized at time of consideration with no additional requests after offer Employees with 18 months or more of tenure must have a 3-month break in service before returning; permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Facility may extend an offer without an interview, though interviews can be accommodated if requested American Traveler Job ID P-767053.
