This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, adhering to project specifications and schedules. Job Responsibilities\*\* \* Direct and supervise a crew of construction workers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress. \* Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. \* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications. \* Plan daily work activities, including material and equipment needs, and coordinate with superintendents and project managers. \* Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep the project on track. \* Operate various heavy equipment as needed, such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders. \* Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety meetings with the crew. \* Maintain accurate daily reports, including crew hours, equipment usage, and progress updates. \* Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. \* Ensure the quality of work performed meets or exceeds project requirements and company standards. \* Communicate effectively with project management, clients, and other stakeholders. Job Qualifications\*\* \* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications preferred. \* Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role. \* Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. \* Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and equipment. \* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. \* Demonstrated commitment to safety and a strong safety record. \* Ability to operate various heavy equipment safely and efficiently. \* Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication. \* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. \* Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments. \* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.**Company Overview:**Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
