Job Overview A law firm seeks a Healthcare Regulatory Associate in Palo Alto. This role offers the opportunity to work on health innovation, representing companies from pre-formation to capital markets, including public health tech companies. Duties Advise on healthcare regulatory issues, including corporate practice of medicine and state law considerations. Handle federal, commercial, and self-insured payor reimbursement matters. Address value-based care and accountable care organizations. Navigate fraud and abuse laws, including Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark law. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state health privacy laws. Manage federal and state laws on health data exchange and interoperability. Advise on state healthcare transaction notification laws and Knox-Keene. Consult on state laws related to AI in healthcare. Requirements 2-4 years of experience in healthcare law. Strong interest in technology use in healthcare, including AI and telehealth. Experience in several specified regulatory areas. Strong writing and analytical skills. Superior organizational and project management skills. Detail-oriented with good judgment. Client service-oriented. Willingness to travel periodically. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Skills Ability to learn new issues quickly. Excellent communication skills.
