Director of Athletics and Student Activities / 12-Month Assistant Principal

We're seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Athletics and Student Activities / 12-Month Assistant Principal to lead and strengthen extracurricular programs, student engagement, and athletic excellence at Lebanon School District. In this leadership role, you'll oversee all aspects of the district's athletic programs and student activities while fostering a culture of sportsmanship, school pride, student achievement, and community engagement.

• Building a comprehensive athletic and student activities program that promotes participation, leadership, and personal growth
• Creating a culture of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect among students, staff, coaches, and community members
• Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, district, and PIAA regulations
• Effectively managing athletic operations, budgets, facilities, schedules, and event logistics
• Strengthening school spirit and student engagement through meaningful extracurricular opportunities

Required Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania Administrative Principal PK-12 Certification
• Prior coaching experience
• Working knowledge of PIAA rules and regulations
• Prior experience as a teacher, school counselor, or school administrator
• Previous head varsity coaching experience preferred

Your Impact:

As our Director of Athletics and Student Activities / 12-Month Assistant Principal, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Lead and administer all district athletic programs, including interscholastic and intramural activities
• Recruit, supervise, support, and evaluate coaches and assigned staff members
• Develop programs that promote student leadership, character development, and sportsmanship
• Coordinate athletic schedules, transportation, facilities, officials, security, and event operations
• Manage athletic budgets, equipment purchases, fundraising efforts, and financial oversight
• Ensure student-athlete eligibility and compliance with district and PIAA requirements
• Build strong relationships with families, community members, league representatives, and partner organizations
• Support school improvement initiatives and contribute to building-wide leadership efforts as an Assistant Principal
• Develop and oversee student activities that foster school spirit, engagement, and inclusion across the district

Work Environment:

You'll serve in a highly visible leadership role that requires collaboration with students, staff, families, coaches, officials, and community stakeholders. The position involves frequent attendance at athletic events, supervision of extracurricular activities, management of facilities and budgets, and coordination of district-wide student programs. This is a 245-day administrative position requiring flexibility to support evening and weekend events throughout the school year.
