Sanitation Technician – Full Time – Year Round Full Time Manual Labor – Miramar Beach, FL, US Salary Range: $18.00 To $18.00 Hourly Starting Salary – $18.00 per hour Work Schedule: 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) Weekends and holiday availability required This is a full time, year-round position Duties and Responsibilities: Gathers and carries household waste from individual yards or locations along route and dumps refuse onto truck. Dumps contents into opening in enclosed truck body. Unloads and cleans garbage truck at dump site. Schedules and maintains records of all maintenance of sanitation vehicles. Monitors landscape debris site and ensures cleanliness. Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time. Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Florida driver license. Physical Demands: Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Work Environment: Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat and vibration. Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed regardless of weather conditions; the employee may be exposed to inclement weather. You must be legal to work in the United States. Must be able to pass a pre-employment MVR, Background Check and Drug Screen. Shift is 4 days a week 10 hours per day. Must have weekend and holiday availability.
