Technical Sales Representative

S U M M A R Y:

The Technical Sales Representative will aggressively execute a sales strategy with the fundamental objective to grow sales volume in assigned territory. This Representative will work with the Area Sales Manager to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities as well as manage customer relationships and execute account sales and service plans to maintain existing business. The Technical Sales Representative will identify customer needs and advocate value-adding solutions utilizing products and services.

R E S P ON S IB IL IT IE S :

• Meet or exceed targets for sales growth in area of responsibility levels while growing volume and increasing market share.
• Deliver measurable value to prospective and current customers through expertise in the application of products in the industrial wastewater treatment and sand & aggregate processing markets
• Work with Area Manager and the team to develop and maintain favorable relationships with customers. Plan and implement Technical Service plans to ensure customer satisfaction for all on-going accounts.
• Develop expertise in the operation of and optimization of polymer application in industrial water and wastewater systems and equipment, including clarifiers, centrifuges, and filter presses,
• Provide expert troubleshooting and problem solving skills to solve customer process and product problems.
• Create and present sales and technical materials promoting products and solutions.
• Understand the safe handling, use and storage of products. Comply with all safety practices and environmental regulations applicable to the customer's site.
• Maintain the confidentiality of the Company's products, customers, and proprietary information.

R E Q U IR E M EN TS :

• A Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline or business degree and equivalent market experience is required.
• A minimum of five years successful Sales experience, especially in industrial water treatment
• Experience and understanding of dewatering and clarification equipment; i.e. centrifuges, belt presses, and clarifiers. Specific experience and expertise in application of wastewater polymers at petrochemical plants, food processing and/or industrial sand washing & processing are a plus.
• A character that is confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated and self-starting with a high energy level and a spirit of team effort and cooperation.
• Strong orientation to customer service and the ability to gain respect of the end user.
• Knowledge and ability to create sales quotations for chemical and equipment packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to participate effectively in sales and business planning, and to arrive at sound decisions designed to produce effective results.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience and skills at the intermediate to advanced level.
• Ability to travel at least 60% of the time.
