Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization that is expanding support for a new initiative. This team is focused on delivering high-quality patient access services and ensuring a seamless scheduling experience.

We are seeking a patient-focused Call Center Specialist to support a fast-paced medical environment. This role involves handling inbound calls, assisting patients with scheduling needs, and ensuring accurate documentation within healthcare systems.

Manage a high volume of inbound patient calls (approx. 6070 per day)

Book, adjust, and cancel appointments based on provider schedules

Collect and confirm patient demographics, insurance details, and required information

Enter and maintain accurate records within EMR/EHR systems

Direct calls appropriately and escalate when necessary

Collaborate with clinical teams to support coordination of care

Respond to voicemails and follow up within established timelines

Deliver clear, professional, and empathetic communication with patients

Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to healthcare privacy standards

2+ years of recent experience in a medical call center or healthcare customer service setting

Strong phone skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Experience scheduling patients and verifying insurance coverage

Familiarity with EMR / EHR systems (ModMed, Epic, or similar preferred)

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently in a remote environment after training

Dependable and comfortable managing a fast-paced workload

Contract role (open-ended)

Virtual interview process

Anticipated start within one week of offer

Onsite training in Bethesda, MD for approximately one month, then remote

Occasional onsite presence may be required for meetings or trainings
