Phlebotomy Technician I

SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for efficiently and accurately performing blood collection and non-blood collection from donors.

Duties and responsibilities
• Screen donors to ensure they meet requirements for blood draws
• Perform phlebotomy
• Complete medical histories
• Process blood in accordance to customer protocol
• Complete paperwork needed to update donor charts and computer record
• This position is not limited to these duties and may be asked to do additional tasks

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Certified in Phlebotomy from a National Organization, preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year Phlebotomy experience OR Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant education program, required.
• Knowledge of laboratory computer, preferred.
