CNC Lathe OperatorMachining company in Denver, PA is looking for a CNC Lathe Operator on 2nd shift. Working Mon-Thurs, optional overtime on Friday. Will pay depending on experience and has lots of opportunity for growth in pay and job duties!2nd shift: 3pm - 1am, Mon - ThursPay Range: $22-28/hrResponsibilitiesSet up and operate one or more CNC lathes to produce parts according to specifications.Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, and related machining operations on a variety of materials.Read and interpret basic and complex drawings, sketches, and blueprints to determine machining requirements.Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gages, and scales, to measure to at least 0.001 inch and verify part dimensions.Follow all machine tool safety procedures and operate equipment in a safe manner with regard for the equipment and others in the area.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to produce parts on multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.Experience performing basic maintenance tasks on CNC lathes and related equipment.Ability to train and mentor other operators in machining practices and safety.Experience in a machine shop environment working with CNC lathes and mills.Familiarity with CNC equipment.Experience machining graphite or similar materials is beneficial.Mechanical aptitude and experience with manual machining operations are a plus.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
