Volt is hiring 1st Shift Machine Operators for a leading tile manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ.

As a Machine Operator , you will:

• Operate and monitor production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Inspect ceramic tile products to ensure quality standards are met
• Sort finished tile and support production flow on the dry side of the operation
• Operate strapping machines to securely package and prepare pallets for shipment
• Perform quality inspections and packaging duties at the kiln exit station
• Monitor and treat process water by following established procedures, including pH testing and documentation
• Maintain accurate production and process logs as required
• Clean and maintain work areas, machinery, and equipment daily
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to supervisors and lead personnel
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 4:45 AM - 2:30 PM

This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to read, understand, and follow simple written and verbal instructions
• 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or tile manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift, move, and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to support production requirements
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
