Surgical Technician First Assist – Travel

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM | On-Call Required | 12-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first assist duties during surgical procedures across General, Orthopedic, and Robotic specialties
• Scrub and assist surgeons intraoperatively, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Participate in week and weekend call coverage — approximately 14 call days per month (7 days every other week)
• Fulfill on-call obligations for 1 weekend per month as required
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to all surgical and facility protocols throughout procedures

Required Qualifications

• CST-FA (Certified Surgical Technologist – First Assist) required; RN First Assist (RNFA) may be considered
• Experience in General, Orthopedic, and/or Robotic surgery
• Ability to fulfill call requirements including weekday and weekend on-call shifts
• Current, applicable state licensure or certification as required by role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel assignment experience in a surgical first assist role
• Proficiency with robotic-assisted surgical platforms
• Strong adaptability to new surgical environments and team dynamics
