Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Schedule: Variable schedule 7a - 7p / 7p - 7a

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 26 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required during clinical orientation.
- Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Emergency Nurses Association certification within 2 years of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 2 years of hire.
- Skills:
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Compliance / Notes:
- Certifications must be obtained through the specified system during clinical orientation.
- Background checks and drug screens may be required as part of the hiring process.
