Location: White Bear Lake, MN 55110
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday – Thursday
Shift Time: 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to provide both front-office and back-office support in a patient-focused healthcare environment. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient intake, scheduling, clinical procedures, documentation, and other day-to-day clinical support activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare staff while providing a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with the check-in process.
• Room patients and prepare them for appointments.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
• Administer vaccines as directed and within scope of practice.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Schedule patient appointments and assist with front-office activities.
• Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries appropriately.
• Enter and update patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and staff.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
• Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support efficient daily operations.
• Support health education and outreach initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , in addition to any externship experience.
• Medical Assistant certification is strongly preferred .
• Previous phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required .
• Previous Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required .
• Strong front-office and back-office medical assistant experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable working with computers and healthcare technology.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients.
• Current BLS or CPR certification .
