Position Overview

We are seeking a highly articulate, technically profound, and code-fluent Field Security Engineer to join our global IT & Security division under a permanent, full-time remote layout open to candidates based in India, Ireland, or the United Kingdom. In this unique role—where roughly half your week is focused on customer-facing pre-sales engineering and the rest is dedicated to pure product buildout—you will act as the principal security voice enterprise clients trust during architecture deep-dives and technical reviews. Shifting completely away from routine IT desktop ticketing, slow manual data entry sorting, or detached administrative spreadsheet tracking, you will operate at the cutting edge of AI trust systems. This position requires a systems-security authority who commands complex data protection frameworks fluidly natively using Cybersecurity principles, addresses advanced developer inquiries regarding prompt injection and MCP exposure cleanly, and designs production-grade AI agents confidently to convert manual evidence compliance tracking into reliable, self-serve automated platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Technical Pre-Sales Trust: Serve as the principal technical security authority enterprise customers trust during architecture deep-dives, questionnaires, and complex compliance evaluations with sophisticated Fortune 500 security cells across financial services, healthcare, and digital payments natively utilizing Cybersecurity frameworks.
• AI Security Strategy Leadership: Lead high-stakes technical customer interactions detailing agent behaviors, prompt injection mitigations, Model Context Protocol (MCP) data exposure, and data governance standards.
• Public Trust Architecture Optimization: Own and continuously iterate Atlan public trust center documentation and reusable security artifacts, leveraging customer-facing insights to proactively deflect repeat inquiries and systematically compress customer onboarding timelines.
• Autonomous Compliance Automation: Design, ship, and maintain production-ready AI agents and automated workflows end-to-end to eliminate manual evidence collection gaps, keeping system parameters continuously audit-ready.
• Multi-Framework Compliance Governance: Contribute directly to the expansion of Atlan regulatory posture across SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001 (AI Management), HIPAA, and GDPR , driving audit readiness through automated control structures.
• Cross-Timezone Collaboration: Maintain consistent availability to work evening IST hours to enable seamless, real-time synchronous alignment with enterprise customers based across the United States and the European Union.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven professional history handling customer-facing security reviews, technical pre-sales engineering, or trust-and-safety consulting roles for a fast-moving B2B SaaS platform.
• Mandatory Production AI Background: Documented track record building and shipping functional, automated AI agents inside a live production environment (not limited to simple playground prompts or notebooks) to replace manual security or compliance processes.
• Deep, granular understanding of AI and LLM Security vulnerabilities , with a proven ability to analyze prompt injection risks, agent guardrail architectures, and data isolation parameters logically.
• Grounded technical familiarity with automated compliance ecosystems and a solid baseline understanding of global security frameworks (including SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, or GDPR rules).
• Outstanding verbal and written communication strengths in English, displaying total composure and high technical accuracy when anchoring high-stakes corporate procurement calls.
• Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open to technical practitioners living across India, Ireland, or the United Kingdom , with structural comfort managing evening shift overlap models.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Hands-on programming and deployment experience with visual automation and orchestration infrastructures such as n8n or Tines .
• Prior experience implementing security governance tools for complex data catalogs, enterprise search infrastructures, or multi-tenant cloud databases.
• Background working with compliance monitoring engines like Vanta to bridge automation gaps programmatically.
