Heavy Equipment Mechanic

What will you do in a typical day? You will primarily help prepare new and used refuse trucks for sale by installing and modifying custom equipment. This is a hands-on role for an experienced mechanic who can apply strong mechanical skills while learning our specialized products. Coordinate and install custom equipment on new and used refuse trucks. Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify specialized heavy-duty components. Repair or modify new and existing products according to established specifications and procedures. Perform DOT inspections. Manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and frequent interruptions. Work safely and effectively as part of a team. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. On-the-job training will be provided on our specialized equipment. What would make you a good fit? Previous mechanic experience is required; heavy-equipment mechanic experience is a plus. Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to read electrical schematics. Strong welding and fabrication skills are a plus. Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one. Must have your own general tools to complete required tasks. Self-motivated and willing to take initiative. Willing to learn and expand your knowledge. Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Positive attitude and ability to work successfully in a team environment. Able to meet the physical requirements of a Service Technician. As part of our application process, all applicants must have a valid drivers license.
