Kids Are Our Everything.Department10339 Colorectal SurgeryPay Range$20.83 - $34.71Shift: Day- 7am to 3:30Who We Are : The Division of Pediatric Colorectal & Pelvic Reconstruction's Colorectal Transition Program helps children with congenital or acquired colorectal conditions transition their care from pediatric care providers to adult care providers. It is critical that these children receive specialty care because they often have complex medical and surgical histories from the time they are born. We seek to empower teens and young adults to become effective advocates for their own healthcare needs as they become more independent.What You'll Do: Schedule, pre-certifies for both the physician and facility, verify insurance eligibility, review benefits to include co-pay and deductible and documents procedure for Children's Hospital Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center as well as outside hospitals and surgery centers for patients. Work with parents and other departments to schedule patients in a timely manner assuring that registrations, demographic and insurance information are correct. Verify guardianship/custody issues that might arise. Coordinate vendor or other specialized equipment required for the surgical procedure upon request.What You'll Bring :Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)Minimum Work Experience3 years Progressive experience performing patient registration and scheduling, medical insurance verification, preferably in a hospital or a physician’s office as a receptionist.
