Join a fast-growing technology-driven company in the on-demand delivery and local commerce industry as a freelance Outside Sales professional. In this role, you will help expand our merchant network across Ohio by building relationships with local restaurants and small businesses, with a strong focus on emerging and underpenetrated markets around Columbus. We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Outside Sales specialist who can manage a high-velocity, transactional sales cycle. You will spend most of your time in the field, meeting owners face-to-face, presenting our value proposition, and closing new merchant partnerships that drive mutual long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect, qualify, and close new restaurant and small business partnerships within your assigned Ohio territory, with emphasis on Columbus and surrounding emerging markets.
• Conduct in-person meetings with owners and key decision-makers to present the platform, articulate ROI, and negotiate partnership terms.
• Drive a fast-paced deal cycle, converting prospects from first contact to signed agreement in days rather than weeks.
• Maintain a strong on-the-ground presence in underpenetrated and rural markets within an approximate 2-hour radius of Columbus.
• Collaborate with a Regional Sales Manager to refine territory strategy, prioritize pipeline, and identify local market opportunities.
• Execute a mix of inside and outside sales tactics, including cold outreach, walk-ins, referrals, and structured follow-ups.
• Accurately document all activities, interactions, and deal stages in the company's CRM and tracking tools.
• Serve as a local brand ambassador, representing the company professionally and nurturing long-term merchant relationships.
• Follow all travel and expense guidelines and maintain compliance with company policies.

Travel Expectations:

• Field-based role with frequent travel throughout the assigned territory. Most travel will be within approximately 2 hours of Columbus, OH.
• Periodic overnight trips and longer driving days (67 hours) or occasional flights may be required. Travel expenses are covered in line with company policies.

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay: Fixed hourly compensation with a commission structure.
• Commission: Additional earnings for each new merchant partnership signed.
• Earning Potential: Competitive on-target earnings, with uncapped upside based on performance.

About You:

• 2+ years of successful sales experience, ideally in a closing role with small and medium-sized businesses.
• Background selling into the restaurant or food & beverage space is strongly preferred.
• History of exceeding sales targets in a high-activity, field-based or hybrid sales environment.
• Comfortable with both inside and outside sales approaches, including phone, email, walk-ins, and in-person meetings.
• Willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time, including longer driving days and occasional overnight trips.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and refine territory playbooks and prospecting strategies.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Highly self-motivated, organized, and disciplined, capable of operating autonomously while managing a robust pipeline.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and aggressive growth goals.
