The Guest Room Supervisor will set the schedule for the other housekeepers and ensure all housekeepers are performing up to company standards . Guest Room Supervisor is required to fill in when other housekeepers are absent.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and train all housekeeping staff according to company standard operating proceduresSchedule housekeeping staff based on company needsEnsure all housekeepers are performing up to company standardsEnsure all guest rooms are serviced and cleaned according to company standardsInspect and verify that all vacant rooms are ready to sell prior to openingEstablish standards for work of housekeeping staffEnsure all housekeeping equipment is in good working order and notify General Manager if notFill-in when other housekeepers are absentMaintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company standards and proceduresEnsure adequate supplies of cleaning materials are availableEnsure that all employee, public, and guest areas are kept cleanNotify General Manager immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policyNotify General Manager of any guest concernsMaintain superior customer service when interacting with guestReconcile daily paperwork with General Manager prior to end of shiftEssential Qualifications:Ability to simultaneously manage multiple staff members efficientlyAbility to use time management skills to effectively accomplish tasksPossess good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniquesAbility to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlinesAbility to read, understand and interpret information found in a variety of reports and other internal hotel informationAbility to read, speak and write in an efficient manner to interact with guests and staffAbility to compose and express thoughts concisely to ensure effective communicationAbility and flexibility to work long hours on a regular basis as business conditions demandAbility to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations and with time constraintsAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionPreferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/EducationExperience levels required may vary based on the size, volume and character of hotelAny combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diplomaAny other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilitiesMinimum 1-year housekeeping experience with proven skill and performance or 6 months’ supervisory experience in rooms division or related positionPossess good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry operations, cleaning standards and techniquesAbility to step in and perform a variety of housekeeping/laundry positions in response to business needsAbility to visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas, etc. for quality in cleanliness and presentationWork Environment and Physical Requirements:Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThis position is occasionally required to sit; climb , balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision , depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfacesStanding for eight (8) hour shiftsExposure to extreme weather conditions, cold and heatPerks & BenefitsEasy to follow training programs & supportive team throughout the onboarding processHealth, dental, vision, life and disability insurance for full-time employees401k with company matchPTO for full-time employeesSundays off and no late shifts!Flexible schedulesWeekly payrollElectronic Acknowledgement:When selecting the “Accept” or “Acknowledge” box, I am agreeing that I have read, understand and agree to this policy.
