Category: Pipeline Construction Position Foreman Reports To Superintendent Summary Directs activities of workers for pipeline and other construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, within scope, on time and within budget. Essential Responsibilities Study specifications to plan construction procedures and staffing requirements for each phase. Assemble members of the organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) at the start of a project. Conferee with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors on work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating phases to prevent delays. Communicate with supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances. Collaborate with supervisors, engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve methods. Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and schedules. Prepare or review progress, material, and cost reports and adjust work schedules as indicated. Supervisory Responsibilities May directly supervise 15-20 employees in the yard or remote locations. Responsibilities include mentoring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Physical Demands Regularly lift up to 50pounds and carry up to 25pounds. Requires close, distance, peripheral, depth vision and focus adjustment. Regularly use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Foreman must be willing to comply with PCM Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and regulations, and all governmental regulations.
