Crane Operator / Leveler Operator

We are a leading steel service center known for our commitment to safety, precision, and quality. We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Crane Operator OR Leveler Operator to join our team. Candidates with strong experience in either role will be considered. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a steel or heavy industrial environment and is eager to contribute to a high-performing production team.

Key Responsibilities (Responsibilities will align based on your primary experience)

• Operate and monitor leveler machines to ensure proper flattening and processing of steel coils and sheets OR
• Operate overhead cranes to safely load, unload, and move steel coils and materials
• Set up and adjust equipment settings based on material specifications and job orders
• Inspect materials before and after processing to ensure quality and accuracy
• Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production specifications
• Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical or safety concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines at all times

Requirements

• Experience as a Leveler Operator OR Crane Operator in the steel industry is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one of the above roles preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of metal processing
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a steel service center or similar industrial setting
• Experience with both leveler operation and overhead crane operation
• Familiarity with steel coils, sheets, and material handling
• Forklift certification is a plus
