Collections Representative

Growing together.This position is responsible for receiving and initiating calls with patients to collect payments and settle accounts. Follows-up on accounts, receives and processes payments, and updates incomplete and missing account information. Collaborates with patients to create payment arrangements and counsels patients on financial assistance programs.This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm CST and Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be during normal business hours, Monday - Friday.Primary Responsibilities:Coordinates the resolution of unpaid accountsReceives and resolves calls from patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and departmentsObtains and processes paymentsCollaborates with patients to create payment arrangementsUpdates incomplete and missing account informationDocuments collection activitiesOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma / GEDMust be 18 years of age or older1+ years of experience working in healthcare billing, healthcare collections, or healthcare accounts receivableAlthough not common, ability to travel onsite to 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407 for any major computer issues that ariseEquipment pick up is required on day one if you reside within 2 hours of 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis MN 55407.
