Supply Chain Specialist

About this position Advantech is on the search for a Supply Chain Intern to work out of our Milpitas, CA office. You’ll step into a fast-paced environment and make an immediate impact supporting inventory planning, transportation coordination and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities Support inventory planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and work scheduling to ensure timely material availability and production flow. Maintain pricing data and perform statistical analysis to support cost control and informed decision-making. Coordinate global transportation and logistics activities to support inbound and outbound shipments. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and other departments to align supply chain activities. Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders regarding supply chain status, timelines, and requirements. Support data accuracy and basic database management related to inventory, pricing, and supply chain reporting. Perform additional supply chain–related tasks and projects as assigned Qualifications Working knowledge of supply chain operations, inventory management, and material planning processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support reporting or dashboards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including basic presentation abilities. Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Currently pursuing or received a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems; SAP (MM and PP integration) preferred. General understanding of computer hardware and related components. Familiarity with database concepts and data management.
