Employee Relations Specialist — Hybrid & Compliance

The Employee Relations (ER) Specialist will be part of a team that is responsible for the execution and delivery of compliance and organizational global employee relations support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to conflict resolution and employee relations compliance, investigations, and overall ER planning and communications. Key Responsibilities Contribute and participate in conflict resolutions and employee relations compliance, investigations and overall ER planning and communications. Coordinate guidance and policy interpretation with HR Partners, leaders and professionals on employee relations topics such as terminations, promotions, performance management, employee relations, and other compliance matters. Collaborate on positive employee engagement initiatives and projects as needed. Work closely with HR Partners and HR Centers of Expertise to provide cross‑functional, cohesive support and solutions. Educate, train and guide managers and supervisors in practices ensuring equitable treatment and compliance with state and federal employment laws. Manage complex employee relations issues including performance issues, complaints, and investigations to resolve problems and reduce legal risk. Support employees and managers on alternatives, prepare, track and maintain investigation reporting and documentation. Facilitate workplace accommodations interactive process in alignment with ADA requirements; ensure compliance with other applicable laws. Assist with leave administration support and coordination related to return‑to‑work. Provide reporting and analysis on metrics and employee‑related items, compile case data, documentation and tracking in a case‑management tool. Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and processes which comply with U.S. state and federal law, meet business needs, and promote company culture. Assist with required EEO/Affirmative Action and other compliance‑related reporting requirements; provide consultation on EEO/AA needs. Coordinate and support company‑wide Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), training and mental‑health initiatives. Coordinate and assist with Anti‑Harassment and other compliance‑related training programs. Support special projects and initiatives as assigned. Ability to travel less than 10% of the time; travel may be short‑notice, at times. Preferred Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills, building trust and confidence with all levels of employees. Demonstrated success communicating with professionals at all organizational levels using a consultative approach. Strong leadership, facilitation, team‑building and process‑improvement skills. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to conduct thorough investigations efficiently. Strong conflict‑management skills. Exceptional decision‑making, communication, listening, understanding, and empathy. Ability to apply consistency, fairness and inclusive thinking to problem solving and decision making. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field. 5+ years progressive HR experience in Employee Relations or HR with a strong background in compliance, regulatory tracking and project management skills. Experience solving employee relations issues. Strong understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to employee relations and employment law. Knowledge of U.S. federal, state and local employment laws and employee relations trends; understanding of OFCCP and AAP requirements. Travel: Ability to travel less than 10% of the time; travel may require short‑notice instances. Work Environment Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
