Masefield and Cavallaro Physical Therapy is a privately owned practice for the past 30

years. Our practice is looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the

supervision of NYS Licensed Physical Therapist in a professional outpatient orthopedic

practice.

Job Duties for PTA

● Provides skilled physical therapy treatment established by Licensed Physical

Therapist and provides treatments in accordance with professional standards of

practice.

● Completes all documentation in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance

with departmental, regulatory, and payer standards.

● Works effectively with all Therapists and office staff to ensure care is delivered in

an organized manner.

● Assists in maintaining the safe operation of all equipment for patient safety.

● Accurately integrates treatment knowledge into the daily education of residents

and caregivers.

Qualifications

● Strong patient care skills and knowledge of physiology and anatomy

● Proficiency in medical terminology and physical therapy techniques

● Knowledgeable in EMR ( WebPT) for scheduling and documentation

● Experience in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing

Familiarity with discharge planning and care plans

● Knowledge of orthopedics and geriatrics

● Asian speaking dialects preferred

License/Certification:

● Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (Required) NYState

● CPR Certification (Required)

● Temporary Permit (acceptable)

● Job Types: Full-time, Part-time positions in Brooklyn, Dyker Heights office
