DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will support the smooth planning, budgeting, and coordination of roadway maintenance activities for Monroe County. As a Roadway Programs Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:

• Program Coordination: Oversee roadway maintenance functions for county operations
• Work Plan Development: Assist with preparing and monitoring the Annual Work Plan and related improvement programs
• Budget Management: Prepare and review budget information, track funding levels, and recommend adjustments
• Inventory Oversight: Manage material needs, stock levels, and purchasing activities for county maintenance
• Data Review: Analyze reports and system data to evaluate progress, schedule work, and support decision-making
• Administrative Supervision: Direct clerical and technical support tasks related to payroll, purchasing, and documentation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and shift work required. Work hours are subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Specialist or Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and an associate's degree in a field of business administration, computer science, highway engineering technology or closely related program; or
• One year of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or civil engineering related discipline; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

• This particular position also requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
