Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing physical therapy services in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work throughout the full school year with a manageable schedule and a diverse caseload spanning transitional kindergarten through 8th grade.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Physical Therapist (PT) license for California
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to organize and manage a flexible caseload efficiently
- Compassionate, student-centered approach to therapy
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students per prescribed IEP goals
- Complete evaluations, assessments, and documentation as required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student access to educational environments and activities
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Engage in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress reporting
- Provide resources, education, and training to staff and families to ensure carryover and understanding
