Apex has an opportunity for a Data Architect for a client based out of Skillman, NJ. Here are the details:Position: Data ArchitectLocation: Skillman, NJ (Remote OR Hybrid)Duration: 6+ Month W2 Rolling Contract (Potential to Go Perm)Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Working to upgrade and fix data architecture with best practicesWill be about 10-15% hands-on data engineering (Building out POCs and helping with implementation) but primarily will be focused on building out architecture design and plans and then directing data engineering teams on implementation portionNeed to be able to be vocal and push the team on architecture best practicesWill work across the cloud environments and teams supportedNeed to improve data mesh and data fabric and make sure that they are set up for being able to exchange and interchange data through APIs for external connections as well as able to safely store and catalog data internally and have it accessible for digital initiativesHelp to avoid data duplication and organize the dataLooking more for strong data principles experience versus specific tools/cloud data services – more general knowledge/fundamentalsMust Haves:Cloud experience – specifically in Data ServicesCan be Azure, AWS, or GCP but will have to work across all 3 platforms in some capacityLooking more for conceptual experienceStrong understanding of data privacy, data security, data governance, and data catalogingSelling Points for Candidates:REMOTE!!
