Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Weekdays, Every Other Weekend, Float, and Holidays within contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Renal / Diabetic unit with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform IV insertions and monitor patients via telemetry interpretation
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Participate in unit float assignments and coverage as required within the contract period
• Complete required pre-start orientation modules (approximately 3 billable hours) prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia or compact RN license in hand at time of submittal – no exceptions
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records – no exceptions
• Demonstrated skills in IV insertion and telemetry interpretation
• Must pass a pre-start EKG/telemetry written test with a score of 80% or higher (one attempt, no remediation); test covers sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a renal or diabetic patient care setting
• Prior travel nursing assignments in a Med Surg or Telemetry environment
